EligibilityWinning teams from regional ethnic or multicultural football events are eligible to enter the NZCFC event, the national tournament. Alternatively, a region may nominate a representative team. The team must have taken part in a regional (or local) tournament within the 12 months prior to the national tournament. In this instance, the definition of ethnic or multicultural will be left to each region to decide. As long as the team passes the local ethnic of multicultural football event organiser’s definition, it will pass ours.
Entry feeThe 2009 entry fee for each team is NZD$100.00. A team is defined as up to 16 players (11 a-side with up to five reserves), and up to two support staff (coaches, managers etc).
FormatThe format for the tournament is two pools of four teams each. A 'round robin' competition for each pool will determine the knock-out draw. |
